Official Entry Form and Drawing Rules
Purpose:
This free door-prize drawing is being held to encourage neighborhood attendance and participation at the upcoming annual regular meeting of homeowners.
Important Notice:
This drawing is not sponsored by, funded by, administered by, endorsed by, or affiliated in any capacity with SOUTH POINTE HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION, INC. This drawing is sponsored personally by an HOA Director At-Large, solely in their individual capacity, and not on behalf of the Association, the Board of Directors, or any committee of the Association.
No Association funds, dues, assessments, or official Association resources are being used for this drawing.
No Purchase, Payment, Donation, or Vote Required
No purchase, payment, donation, contribution, fee, or exchange of value is required to enter or win. Voting is encouraged as part of homeowner participation, but no person is required to vote, and eligibility is not affected by whether a person votes or how a person votes. The drawing is not intended to influence any homeowner’s vote, position, proxy, ballot, candidate preference, or decision on any matter.
Eligibility
The drawing is open only to current lot owners in South Pointe who submit a valid entry and are physically present at the annual regular meeting at the time of the drawing.
Each lot owner is entitled to one entry (one entry per lot).
The following individuals are not eligible to enter or win:
- Current members of the Board of Directors of SOUTH POINTE HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION, INC.;
- Former members of the Board of Directors of SOUTH POINTE HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION, INC.;
- The Sponsor; and
- Members of the Sponsor’s household.
These exclusions are included to avoid any actual or perceived conflict of interest or appearance of improper influence.
Prize Description
There will be five (5) separate cash prizes awarded.
Each prize will be in the amount of $100.00.
The total prize value is $500.00.
Prizes are sponsored and paid personally by an individual board member (in their individual capacity) and are not funded by SOUTH POINTE HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION, INC.
Entry Method
To enter, an eligible lot owner must complete and submit the official online entry form before the stated entry deadline.
Only one entry may be submitted by each lot owner. Duplicate entries may be disqualified.
Incomplete, inaccurate, duplicate, or ineligible entries may be rejected at the Sponsor’s discretion.
Presence Required to Claim Prize
Winners must be physically present at the annual regular meeting (after the “official” HOA board officially calls adjournment) when the drawing occurs in order to claim a prize.
If a selected winner is not physically present, does not respond when called, is determined to be ineligible, or declines the prize, that entry will be disqualified and another winner will be randomly selected.
This process will continue until all five prizes have been awarded to eligible winners who are present.
Random Selection
Winners will be selected randomly from all eligible entries.
The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received and the number of eligible entrants present at the time of the drawing.
No HOA Affiliation or Endorsement
This drawing is a private, personal initiative of an individual board member. It is not an official Association activity. SOUTH POINTE HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION, INC. has not approved, sponsored, funded, administered, endorsed, or authorized this drawing.
The South Pointe name, for this drawing, is solely for the purpose of identifying the neighborhood and eligible lot-owner group.
No Influence on Voting
This drawing is intended only to encourage attendance and homeowner participation. It is not connected to any candidate, slate, ballot issue, motion, agenda item, proxy request, or voting position.
No entrant will be asked how they intend to vote or how they voted. No prize will be conditioned on voting, voting a particular way, submitting a proxy, supporting any person, or supporting or opposing any issue.
Taxes and Responsibility
Each winner is solely responsible for any tax consequences associated with receiving a prize.
The Sponsor makes no warranties or representations regarding the tax treatment of any prize.
Privacy
Information collected through the entry form will be used only to verify eligibility, administer the drawing, contact entrants if necessary regarding the drawing, and maintain a basic record of entries and winners.
Entrant information will not be sold or used for commercial purposes.
Sponsor’s Reservation of Rights
The Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend, modify, or terminate the drawing if fraud, technical issues, eligibility concerns, meeting cancellation, safety issues, legal concerns, or other circumstances affect the fairness, integrity, or proper administration of the drawing.
The Sponsor’s decisions regarding eligibility, entry validity, winner selection, and prize award are final.
Void Where Prohibited
This drawing is void where prohibited by law.
Entrant Certification
By submitting this entry, I certify that:
- I am a current lot owner in South Pointe;
- I am submitting only one entry for myself;
- I am not a current or former member of the Board of Directors of SOUTH POINTE HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION, INC.;
- I am not the Sponsor or a member of the Sponsor’s household;
- I understand that I must be physically present at the annual regular meeting when the drawing occurs to claim a prize;
- I understand that voting is not required to enter or win;
- I understand that my vote, voting preference, proxy decision, or position on any matter will not affect my eligibility;
- I understand that this drawing is not sponsored, administered, funded, endorsed, or affiliated with SOUTH POINTE HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION, INC.; and
- I agree to the Official Entry Form and Drawing Rules.
